Solutions to large beam-deflection problems by Taylor series and Padé approximant for compliant mechanisms

چکیده

Compliant Mechanisms (CMs) serve as a promising alternative for transferring motion, force and energy compared to rigid mechanisms. The mentioned desired function is achieved by making the most of elastic deflection all built-in flexible members in CMs, such slender straight beams initially curved (ICBs). Therefore, accurately characterizing deformation these plays considerable role modeling CMs. As well-known field static planar large can be modeled via Euler Bernoulli beam theory, it essentially boundary value problem (BVP). In this paper, we propose use Taylor series method Padé approximant solve BVP more efficient manner previous work. Its accuracy efficiency have been with weighted residual also verified solid-mechanics-based Finite Element Method (FEM) respectively. feasibility proposed has proved terms synthesizing CMs where three representative cases are studied.
